Hello Everyone, I'm Luke Pammenton and I love drums (it's my life). I have been playing drums since 1994 and have been teaching them seriously since 2003. I have played in rock cover bands, metal bands, salsa bands, funk bands, straight ahead and contemporary jazz bands, big bands, and everything in between. I founded Luke Pammenton Drum Studios in 2008 in order to provide top quality professional drumming tuition to all ages and abilities on the south side of Brisbane. The studio is now in it's ninth year and provides lessons to around 40 students per week. 

Lessons are given weekly and are one on one (teacher and student).  All you need is a pair of sticks and we can get started. My studio is located in Wishart.

In your lessons you will learn how to read musical notation, how to interact with a band and play songs in many styles, how to play with correct technique, as well as learning other aspects of musical theory. I am also able to prepare students for entry into Trinity Guildhall drum kit examinations. So far my students results have been fantastic. Over 80 students have achieved the mark of distinction (the highest mark given). Two other students have gone beyond receiving certificates and have also been awarded both a trophy for achieving the highest mark in Queensland and a Bronze medal for an outstanding exam mark. I have also had students accepted to the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

My students also have the opportunity to record their work in my fully equipped recording studio. This allows you to track the progress of your learning and have a lasting record of your drumming. I am also available for music theory tutoring. 

Lessons are available Monday - Thursday from midday until late at a cost of $40.00 per half hour (including GST). Lessons are available in 30 minute 45 minute or 1 hour blocks.
